XF Analyzer Training Course

The two-day XF Analyzer training course is designed for new XF users as well as those considering the purchase of an XF instrument. The course includes hotel accommodations, meals, class materials, labs, lectures, XF protocols, XF data analysis software, and a night on the town with Seahorse staff following the first day of the course. A CD containing wet lab data and electronic copies of all course presentations is provided to each student to take with them.

In the classroom, students will learn about Seahorse, the company, receive a refresher on cellular bioenergetics and biochemistry related to XF measurements, learn about proper tissue culture techniques and the impact of culture condition on cell physiology, and learn how XF measurements are made. In the lab students will perform XF assays from start to finish with their lab partner on current model XF instruments. Students will seed their own cells, learn how easy XF software is to use, receive a refresher on proper cell seeding technique, setup XF assays for Fatty Acid Oxidation and Mitochondrial Uncoupling, and generate their own XF data. Finally, students will participate in an afternoon long discussion format session where demo data and student data will be analyzed, interpreted and each student will have the opportunity to participate in Q&A.
