SimCell™ Applications
SimCell™ accelerates scale-up from IND through commercial production
Leading biopharmaceutical companies use the SimCell™ 200 to choose clones, optimize medium, and determine optimum process conditions.
Clone Selection
Process scientists make a difficult choice between the throughput of microplates and predictive quality of bench scale bioreactors when evaluating clones.
The SimCell™ 200 enables evaluation of hundreds of clones with media and process conditions optimized for each clone.
See our publications to learn how the SimCell™ 200 has demonstrated clone ranking that outperforms shake flask experiments.
Media Optimization
Modern high performance culture media contains as many as 100 constituents. An optimized process may demand one or more feed changes during a single bioreactor run.
The SimCell™ 200 enables developers to fully evaluate media with eight or more media constituents and five sets of temperature and DO levels that can change during a multi-week experiment.
See our publications to learn how the SimCell™ 200 has demonstrated media evaluation that closely matches performance of bench-scale bioreactor experiments.
Process Development
Modern fed-batch bioreactors allow far greater control of process conditions than in the past.
The SimCell™ 200 maintains up to 42 cards (252 reactor chambers) in each of up to five incubators. Each incubator controls temperature, CO2 and DO level. Every micro bioreactor has automatic feed and pH control.
